Abortion (4)

One of the important phases of life is parenthood. Making the decision of having a child is very crucial which needs commitment of both the partners. But ultimately, the decision is entitled to the mother herself who’s responsible for giving birth to the baby. However, if she isn’t ready, she can certainly opt-in for abortion.

There can be several reasons for abortion:

  1. Both the partners are so busy with their work and trying to make both ends meet that they cannot find time for their child.
  2. There are barriers in their relationship and they don’t think that having a child would be a good idea.
  3. They already have kids and just want to focus on them.
  4. They’re not ready to have a child yet.
  5. The woman had an unprotected intercourse which she wasn’t aware of.
  6. The pregnancy is fatal and bad for the woman’s health.

The above-mentioned points are some of the reasons for which a woman or both the partners may consider having an abortion. Studies suggest that 1 out of every 4 women in the US will have an abortion by the time they turn 45.

Having an abortion is completely normal and won’t affect your chances of having a pregnancy again. You can always reach out to your doctor for help and discuss your problems with him. Our medications are solely intended to walk you through a safe abortion and lead you to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

  • Cytotec 200mcg

Cytotec, also known as Misoprostol, is an effective medication used by women for early abortion. For women who are no more than 10 weeks pregnant, this medicine works like a charm. A woman needs to put twelve tablets (four tablets at intervals of 4 hours) of Cytotec 200mcg in her mouth (and hold them for approximately 30 minutes) and let them dissolve properly. The remaining fragments are then needed to be swallowed. The bleeding starts within 30 minutes of the consumption of this medicine. If the embryonic sac is visible on the sanitary pad, it means that the abortion has occurred.Follow the entire guide given in the description below.
  • Misoprostol 200mcg

Misoprostol is an oral medication used for early abortion in women. A total of 4 tablets are meant to initiate early abortion which can be increased to 8 (in number) for its completion. When a woman gets pregnant, the earlier this pill is consumed, the better results can be achieved. It is known to work effectively when taken alongside one tablet of Mifepristone. Mifepristone is usually consumed 24 hours before Misoprostol. This pill works best for women who are no more than 9-12 weeks pregnant. All a woman needs to do is take 4 tablets of Misoprostol and put them in her mouth. They should then be held in the mouth for approximately 30 minutes, and the remaining fragments should then be consumed. When bleeding occurs, you need to check whether a receptacle is there on the sanitary pad or not. If you're nine weeks pregnant, the receptacle i.e. the embryonic sac would look like a kidney bean. The bleeding usually starts within the first 2-3 hours of consumption of this medicine. If it doesn't start within the first 4 hours, consume 4 more tablets (of Misoprostol) and repeat the same procedure again.
  • MTP Kit – Complete Abortion Kit

MTP Kit is a combination of two medicines, primarily Mifepristone and Misoprostol. It helps women who are no more than 9-10 weeks pregnant and require an abortion. The medicine Mifepristone works by blocking the effects of Progesterone, thereby inducing uterine contractions, leading to an abortion. A single tablet of Mifepristone is intended to be taken on the first day of your period. After 24 hours, you should take 4 tablets of Misoprostol and put them in your mouth. Hold them in your cheek pouch for roughly 30 minutes and swallow the remaining fragments with water. Bleeding usually starts within the first 2-4 hours. If the bleeding doesn't start within the first 3-4 hours, you should take 4 more tablets of Misoprostol. It is, therefore, recommended to keep 2-3 MTP Kits handy. Bleeding doesn't mean that the abortion has taken place. The flow should be heavier than usual (as experienced during periods) and you should see a receptacle on your sanitary pad. For women who are seven weeks pregnant, it should look like a thin grain of rice. For women who are nine weeks pregnant, it would look like a kidney bean. To avoid cramps and pain that occur after this process, you can take a tablet of Ibuprofen 1 hour prior to the consumption of Misoprostol.
  • RU-486 (Mifepristone)

RU-486 or Mifepristone is a safe yet effective medication taken along with Misoprostol to end an early pregnancy in women. It works by blocking the activity of a hormone known as Progesterone. For women who are no more than 63 days pregnant, this medicine comes to the rescue. RU-486 comes in the form of a tablet that needs to be taken orally by mouth. After 24-48 hours of consumption of this medicine, four tablets of misoprostol are needed to be put into the mouth (for 20-30 minutes). The remaining contents or fragments should then be swallowed. Bleeding occurs within the first 2-24 hours of consumption of this medicine. The bleeding and cramps can stay on until 4 weeks. Visit your doctor after 2 weeks and get an ultrasound (or sonogram) done to check whether the pregnancy has ended completely or not.
